Post for the week of 23 February 2026

  • My sister delivered two beautiful girls. They’re doing well. We are blessed to have such loving family. Me and Amy went to town to celebrate and ate at Arts Greek which was far too much glorious food.
  • Got the timetable out for the Countesthorpe Festival Chorus. The Come and Sing event is on Saturday the 7th and we’re all looking forward to it.
  • Had a call about an unannounced app I am prototyping. It’s great fun tinkering with these things.
  • Had another call with my party function band Everything In-Between to go over admin and the packages we offer.
  • Visited my new nieces on Wednesday. It was a precious moment. It was great to see everyone doing so well.
  • A cheeky steak at Middletons with a friend. Great stuff. Diet starts tomorrow?
  • Saw Suzi Ruffle with friends at the Y Theatre. She’s such a great act and I was fascinated for the entire time she was on stage.
  • Visited friends that have moved to Nailstone at last after a turbulent moving process. It reminds me that I never want to be involved in a house move ever again. Good to finally see them in their beautiful new home after all this time.
  • Started off the weekend with a trip to Nottingham to pick up scores for the choir. Easy journey there but got stuck in typical awful Leicester traffic on the way back.
  • Birthday celebrations for a friend in town followed by a night to the Free Trade Inn in Sileby to watch Altered Ego rock and celebrate the new owners taking over.
  • Visited the New Inn in Enderby with family. We’re all beaming about the twins.
  • Continued the birthday celebrations for a trip to Grange Farm in Oadby. Glorious food but far too much, again.
  • Continued reading Burnout by Emily and Amelia Nagoski. There is some great stuff in there.
